Chronological Bible Reading Plan
We have chosen a reading plan which unfolds the historical records of the Bible in chronological order, because
our understanding of Scripture can be greatly enhanced when the events are presented in the order in which they happened.
Many of the events recorded in Scripture are duplicated in several different books of the Bible. For example, all four gospels
(Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) record the details of the life and ministry of Jesus. Parallel verses of events such as
these will be presented together. Occasionally, the parallel verses will be exact replicas. At other times, each verse
will add a bit more detail.

***************************************
The Old Testament and New Testament are separated by 400 hundred years of Scriptural silence. Though many other historical documents were written during this period, God spoke not a word to His people nor to His prophets. Prior to this period of silence, God informed His prophets about the coming of the Messiah. Four hundred years later, just as Daniel had prophesied, that Messiah was born. During His 33 years on this earth, Jesus fulfilled every single prophesy recorded in Scripture about the Messiah. The following (New Testament) is the record of the events of His life, death, resurrection, and the birth of His bride, the church . . .
